CJM Advisors is a full-service commercial real estate appraisal and advisory firm. Carl J. (Chuck) Munson, MAI, ASA, AI-GRS, formed the precursor to CJM Advisors, C.J. Munson & Associates, Inc. in 1988. A recent name change to CJM Advisors was intended to better reflect the company’s client-centric focus.
CJM appraisers are affiliated with the Appraisal Institute. Designated members have met rigorous requirements relating to education, testing, experience and demonstration of knowledge, understanding and ability. Appraisers holding the MAI designation are leaders in valuation and evaluation of commercial, industrial and residential properties.
Each CJM appraiser has an area of geographic specialization, ensuring we are well informed about the evolving nuances of specific local economic and market conditions. In addition, each appraiser has developed specialization in certain property types which result in comprehensive reports with reliable conclusions. CJM appraisers also prepare market studies to assist in determining feasibility or most profitable development scenario.
CJM will provide reliable, well-reasoned answers to real estate valuation questions. Whether estimating value or weighing project feasibility, we will be neither conservative nor liberal in our conclusions, but will realistically reflect market behavior and expectations, dependably guiding decision makers relying on our investigative reporting, financial evaluations, and market analyses.
CJM appraisers come from a variety of backgrounds in real estate, finance, planning, and education. CJM has as owners, partners or employees three individuals who hold the MAI designation of the Appraisal Institute (appraisalinstitute.org). Designated members have met rigorous requirements relating to education, testing, experience and demonstration of knowledge, understanding and ability. The MAI membership designation is pertinent to our work here at CJM. Appraisers who hold this designation are experienced in valuation and evaluation of commercial, industrial, residential, and other types of properties. These appraisers are qualified to advise their clients on a broad range of real estate decisions.
We hired CJM to perform a market rent analysis and provide an expert opinion in a lawsuit involving a commercial lease dispute. Aaron DeCollibus prepared a thorough, thoughtful analysis of a unique property. At trial, his testimony was clear and credible, and it contributed to an extremely favorable result for our client.
